Born on November 2, 1960, in Banyuwangi, Tjio Yafet Kristanto is an accomplished figure in Indonesia's real estate industry with a diverse background in both engineering and economics. He majored in Civil Engineering at Petra Christian University, Surabaya, from 1979 to 1982, and later pursued a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Surabaya, graduating in 1988. His entrepreneurial journey began early, owning and operating an electronics shop in Surabaya from 1983 to 1988.
His career transitioned to finance when he worked as an auditor and consultant at Wolfrey & Hanny Public Accountant Office (1988-1990), followed by roles as Finance Manager at Dharmala RSEA Real Estate Industry and Grand Interwisate Company, subsidiaries of the Dharmala Group (1991-1992). He then served as Director of ERA Jatim Realty, another Dharmala Group subsidiary, from 1992 to 2005, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s footprint in East Java.
Since 2000, Mr. Yafet has shared his expertise as a property business trainer, consultant, and public speaker, and since 2016, he has also been an assessor for Real Estate Broker Licenses, further shaping the industry through his leadership and insights.
